This bike rack fit perfectly around the spare tire on my travel trailer. After reading other reviews, I bought it anyway and hoped for the best. I added some lock washers and nylon insert lock nuts to the U-bolts and the rack has not worked loose. I also added some foam water pipe insulation that I bought at the local hardware store and my bikes did not get scratched during transport. This bike carrier was inexpensive and the additonal parts cost me about $5.

I rated this product at the highest rating because it perfectly fit the requirement. The only flaw that I can identify with this product is the "cheap" cap nuts. Don't overtighten during assembly as the cap will pop off.

bike carrieer is convenient way to transport bikes. Notice more sway in trailer since installation. Fasteners are hard to turn which makes it time consuming to mount and unmount bikes.

The frame is designed well and is just what I needed. However, the design for attaching the bikes is very poor. I don't believe anyone ever tested it. It's very difficult and time consuming to secure the bikes. The knobs are right up against the bike frame and difficult to turn. The padding tape provided to put on the bars that support the bikes and prevent scratching is completely inadequate. I was able to slide a couple old rubber radiator hoses over the bars and this worked perfectly. Still need to figure out a better way to secure the bikes. I going to see if the securing parts from another model are available and can be adapted to this frame.
